I started making marmalades and preserves in my country kitchen in Pune a few years
ago as a result of a desperate need to spread something fruity and wholesome on
toast in the morning. I call them `Conserves’ because
they contain a minimum of 50% fruit of the label.
You may feel that the colour of our products is darker than other jams and marmalades.
This is because we slow cook the fruit in small batches as is traditionally done
in country kitchens in Europe, to retain the natural flavour and goodness. In the
process, the jams do darken slightly. We leave them that way so that you can be
guaranteed of the quality.
We use no artificial colours or flavours in our conserves and marmalades.
Our Conserves will remain fresh for a minimum period of one year.
They contain a very small amount of preservative, to cope with fluctuations in temperature
and transport.
